First of all, I would like to thank the team of #wemakedevs for giving me the opportunity to attend the event. I was happy because I wanted to meet the folks in DevOps and Opensource for a long time and I got the opportunity.
Event Summary
The event started at 11 AM with offering prayers to Goddess Saraswati following some introductory words from Kunal Kushwaha talking about the event and why he was not able to make it in person and Ayush explaining the code of conduct for the event.
There was speaker Subhasmita Swain who talked about DevOps and MLOps. DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) to enable faster and more reliable delivery of software. MLOps is a subset of DevOps that focuses on the lifecycle of machine learning (ML) models and that Confusing quiz that says Nextflix uses DevOps and Airbnb uses MLOps. I asked some questions to her during the about Devops and she cleared all my doubts patiently.
After that Kaiwalya announced the super25 program by wemakedevs. It is a program designed to identify and nurture top talent in the field of tech and opensource you can learn more about the purpose of the program eligibility, and important dates on this link Super 25 Application Summer Cohort (Batch 1)
Following GitOps - A buzzword by Abhinav, which is a way of managing infrastructure and applications through Git repositories. The session was very interactive and got to learn about GitOps.
There was lunch, which was a welcome break and an opportunity for attendees to network with each other. No doubt had a great pizza and some valuable advice on open source from Ayush and Bhavya. They told us about how to find issues, projects which can include DevOps, and how their journey shaped them.
After that, we had a very great session on containers by Apooorv which I personally liked the most his presentation were awesome which is a way of packaging and deploying applications in a portable and scalable way. Containers allow applications to run consistently across different environments, such as development, testing, and production.
There was a panel talk with teams which begin with the open source, communities, devel and it was also an interactive session and was the last session of the event.
After that, we had a photography session where the event was finally wrapped up with smiling faces.
We had a networking session where I talked to Akansha about how her personal brand helped her in the journey, Apoorv about how to make clear and good presentations, and kaiwalya about what actually devrel is. All of them were very kind and explained me in detail about the questions.
At last, Thanks for the day wemakedevs
